Komende augustus zal ik met collega schilderij restauratoren de workshop 'Reiniging van acrylverf schilderijen' volgen in Ottawa. Ik kijk er naar uit om ervaringen te delen en overleg te voeren over wat de beste methode en middelen zijn om acryl verf te reinigen. Hopelijk ook een antwoord op mijn vraag of ik het naar de oppervlak gemigreerde surfactant wel of juist niet moet verwijderen.

The workshop is being jointly presented by the Canadian Conservation Institute (CCI) and the Getty Conservation Institute (GCI) and is part of the GCI’s Research into Practice initiative that aims to ensure that critical new research moves in a timely way from the laboratory to the practicing professional. The workshop will take place at the Canadian Conservation Institute in Ottawa, Canada from August 12 – 15, 2014. In addition to providing conservators with the knowledge and methodologies gained from recent research on acrylic painted surfaces, the workshop will promote a dialogue between conservators and researchers to advance future research and strengthen the community of conservation professionals who work with these materials.
